Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable server-side components using Java and Hibernate.
- Optimize Hibernate mappings, queries, caching, transactions, and persistence-layer performance.
- Translate business and technical requirements into maintainable Java application designs.
- Develop clean, modular, testable Java code and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot complex application defects through root cause analysis and sustainable fixes.
- Create and maintain architecture, data model, and integration documentation.
- Coordinate with QA teams to define test scenarios, automate key flows, and validate releases.
- Collaborate with operations teams on deployments, monitoring, and application health.
- Evaluate Java frameworks and Hibernate enhancements for continuous platform improvement.
- Guide peers on Hibernate features, criteria-based queries, and batch operations.
- Work with business stakeholders to propose Java solutions that address evolving functional needs.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of professional experience designing and developing Java applications in complex enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of Hibernate mapping strategies, caching mechanisms, and transaction management.
- Strong object-oriented programming and core Java skills, including collections, concurrency, and exception handling.
- Practical experience with relational databases and structured query design.
- Proficiency with version control, unit testing, and continuous integration practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating effectively in hybrid and distributed work environments.
- Experience supporting business stakeholders during standard day-shift hours.
- Awareness of secure Java coding practices and responsible data handling with Hibernate.
- Ability to learn and judiciously apply new Java frameworks, tools, and architectural approaches.
