Base Salary
$164k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research emerging techniques in retrieval, reasoning, and agentic AI.
- Prototype new ideas and turn successful ones into production-grade features.
- Build and maintain back-end and front-end systems for the Fivetran AI product.
- Contribute to the AISQL capability for natural language to SQL execution.
- Take ownership of production reliability and participate in on-call rotations.
- Write and maintain tests, and perform hands-on QA.
- Use coding agents to automate repetitive tasks.
- Partner with product and design teams to shape future developments.
- Develop software designs and contribute to the technical roadmap.
- Participate in the hiring process.
Requirements
- 5+ years of programming experience in Python and/or Java.
- Ability to execute complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable reading AI/ML research and prototyping findings.
- Strong product and market awareness regarding AI techniques.
- Experience with SQL and data warehouses like BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Willingness to work across the full stack including research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA.
- Ability to write well-structured, performant code.
- Experience using coding agents or similar AI tools.
- Analytical mindset for identifying system gaps and improvements.
- Thrives in a startup-like environment with shifting priorities.
