Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Analyze public and private vulnerability disclosures and exploit code related to container images, base layers, and orchestration platforms.
- Assess the technical details, severity, exploitability, and potential impact of container vulnerabilities across AWS infrastructure, services, and applications.
- Investigate and triage container findings, distinguishing actionable risk from noise through contextual risk assessment.
- Partner with AWS builder teams to remediate container security issues and patch container fleets.
- Engineer scalable risk-assessment mechanisms for container workloads.
- Design and implement automation, tooling, and workflows for patch deployment, remediation tracking, and container operations.
- Participate in periodic on-call coverage for continuous monitoring and remediation of container vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review in a common programming language.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks with command-line tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or at least 2 years of IT Security experience.
- Knowledge of networking protocols including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of industry-based security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
- Preferred experience with Python, Java, or C++.
- Preferred experience performing security activities such as security design review, threat modeling, secure code review, and security testing.
- Preferred knowledge of penetration testing and exploit development or equivalent.
