Base Salary
$62k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cloud-based architectures for mission-critical Air Force systems.
- Recommend cloud services, cybersecurity tools, and capabilities based on environmental research and risk management requirements.
- Evaluate system compliance using RMF or NIST requirements and manage DevSecOps security pipelines.
- Configure and maintain cybersecurity tools, including automated security scanning and compliance capabilities.
- Secure cloud-deployable systems and container images through system hardening, vulnerability identification, and secrets management.
- Architect network and data flow diagrams, compile hardware and software bodies of evidence, and document Ports, Protocols, and Services.
- Write infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to streamline deployment, provisioning, and configuration management.
- Mentor developing cloud security professionals.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience evaluating system compliance using RMF or NIST and DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
- Experience deploying, configuring, or maintaining a government-approved cybersecurity tool suite.
- Experience managing DevSecOps pipelines in GitLab and using automated scanning tools such as SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Trivy, KICS, or Checkmarx.
- Experience with system hardening, vulnerability identification, container image security, and secrets management.
- Experience evaluating and recommending cloud services, tools, and technologies for government organizations.
- Experience writing infrastructure as code with AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Secret clearance and eligibility for access to classified information.
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification, such as CompTIA Security+.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Confluence, or Jira.
- Preferred intermediate cloud certification such as CCSP, Certified AWS Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer Certification.
