Base Salary
$136k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct security reviews of new and existing services, including architecture and design evaluations.
- Perform structured threat modeling to identify attack vectors and application security weaknesses.
- Coordinate penetration testing and validate security controls and exploitable vulnerabilities.
- Document, track, communicate, and verify remediation of security findings.
- Advise development teams on secure coding, authentication and authorization, cryptography, and data protection.
- Escalate high-severity issues and support timely remediation aligned with launch timelines.
- Maintain documentation of review outcomes, security decisions, and risk assessments.
- Use automated tools to improve security review efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience with web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation.
- Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and exploit development or equivalent experience.
- Experience solving basic problems by writing code or scripts with some assistance.
- Preferred experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
