Base Salary

$70k - $126k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes platforms including AWS EKS and RKE2.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker or Podman and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests.
  • Configure and support Istio service mesh, Kubernetes networking, ingress, service discovery, configuration, secrets, and workload security.
  • Automate infrastructure and system administration using OpenTofu or Terraform and Ansible across development, test, and production environments.
  • Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitLab Runners, or Jenkins.
  • Integrate automated build, testing, security, packaging, deployment, vulnerability, compliance, and software-quality controls.
  • Administer and troubleshoot software factory applications including GitLab, Jenkins, Keycloak, Red Hat Identity Management or LDAP, Artifactory, Mattermost, Jira, Confluence, and SonarQube.
  • Support secure software supply-chain practices, continuous authorization, continuous monitoring, and automated compliance evidence collection.
  • Administer and troubleshoot RHEL or Rocky Linux systems and AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead troubleshooting, architecture reviews, incident response, root-cause analysis, documentation, and reusable engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, the sciences, network engineering, systems software, information technology, or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance, with employment contingent on receiving an interim Secret clearance.
  • Professional experience with Kubernetes, Git, Istio or a similar Kubernetes service mesh, Helm, Ansible, OpenTofu or Terraform, and Docker or Podman.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systems, particularly RHEL or Rocky Linux, and designing, deploying, securing, or operating AWS infrastructure.
  • Experience administering, integrating, or troubleshooting multiple software factory applications listed in the posting.
  • Practical experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, container delivery, automated security testing, vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, and cATO.
  • Experience writing automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages and diagnosing complex problems across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and produce high-quality documentation.
  • Current or obtainable Security+, entry-level Linux, and entry-level AWS certifications.
  • Preferred qualifications include Kubernetes, Network+, or CCNA certifications; RKE2 and air-gapped environment experience; Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Falco, AWS GuardDuty, Inspector, UDS CLI, UDS packages, Zarf, policy-as-code, observability, supply-chain security, AI platform, and regulated-environment experience.
