Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure for data engineering, analytics, application, and AI/ML workloads.
- Provision and manage Azure networking, storage, databases, Kubernetes, compute, Key Vault, monitoring, and related cloud resources.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure and application deployments.
- Configure VNets, private endpoints, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and external connectivity.
- Implement identity, access, secrets management, encryption, network segmentation, and least-privilege security controls.
- Support Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, data pipelines, and analytics workloads.
- Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, disaster recovery, backups, high availability, and business continuity capabilities.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, performance, and availability issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Automate operational processes using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or similar scripting tools.
- Implement cloud cost management and optimization through monitoring, right-sizing, tagging, and resource management.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to cloud architecture, engineering, security, compliance, reliability, and automation standards.
- Participate in Agile team activities including sprint planning, technical discussions, code reviews, demonstrations, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Federal security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience deploying and managing Azure infrastructure, networking, security, and compute resources.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar technologies.
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Proficiency with Azure CLI and/or PowerShell for cloud administration and automation.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, private endpoints, and network security controls.
- Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, deployments, networking, and application or platform issues.
- Experience with Git-based source control and collaborative software development practices.
- Strong understanding of VNets, subnets, routing, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and private connectivity.
- Preferred experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Purview.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, Python, federal or regulated environments, FedRAMP, NIST, DevSecOps, Azure Machine Learning, MLflow, FinOps, or Agile/Scrum.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400 are preferred.
