Base Salary
$120k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship Windows App and Windows 365 Cloud PC features integrated with Windows Client platform capabilities.
- Build client experiences for AI agents, computer-use scenarios, in-app AI assistance, intelligent connections, and troubleshooting.
- Provide architectural leadership for secure, distributed, scalable, resilient, and accessible client applications and services.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, debugging, testing, and design while maintaining secure engineering and Responsible AI practices.
- Drive reliability through telemetry-driven development, live-site monitoring, rapid incident response, and ownership of critical client architecture areas.
- Collaborate with Windows, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and Identity partner teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence, innovation, engineering best practices, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C++ or C#, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in Windows platform development, including COM, WinRT, NT Services, Windows OS APIs, and modern UI frameworks such as WinUI.
- Expertise with client application identity and authentication technologies including Microsoft Entra ID, MSAL, and Web Account Manager.
- Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and remote desktop protocols such as RDP is preferred.
- Experience leading architecture, design, and delivery of large-scale performant, reliable, secure, and accessible client applications is preferred.
- Experience championing AI-assisted software development and maintaining security, code quality, Responsible AI, and maintainability standards is preferred.
- A proven record of mentoring engineers and fostering technical excellence, innovation, continuous learning, and operational rigor is preferred.
