Base Salary
$204k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade system software components for driverless vehicles from prototyping through launch.
- Maintain and upgrade the Telematics unit operating system, including the Linux kernel, device drivers, and core OS services.
- Design and implement high-performance networking solutions for reliable data transfer over Wi-Fi and cellular modems.
- Build testing methodology and infrastructure for the reliability and security of low-level software and fleet-wide update deployment.
- Use automated hardware testing to exercise low-level hardware-software systems.
- Collaborate with SoC vendors, ODMs, and internal engineering teams on ambiguous system challenges.
- Contribute to depot network topology design and implementation for vehicle servicing.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in C and C++ is required.
- At least three years of experience developing, debugging, and deploying software in a Linux environment.
- Strong understanding of IP-based networking and experience configuring and debugging networking in Linux.
- Experience with Embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto or Buildroot is preferred.
- Experience with Linux kernel and device driver development is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Wi-Fi, cellular, and Bluetooth protocols is preferred.
- Experience with hardware bring-up and debugging, including reading schematics and datasheets and using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers, is preferred.
- Experience building and maintaining testing infrastructure for operating systems, kernels, and low-level code, including HIL testing stations, is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with CM, ODM, OEM, or ISV partners is preferred.
