Base Salary
$270k - $410k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end integration architecture connecting Workday with Talent platforms across compensation, recruiting, and enterprise functions.
- Define integration patterns and standards covering native Workday tools, middleware, custom platforms, error handling, data contracts, security, and interface versioning.
- Lead the full integration lifecycle from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration.
- Write and review transformation logic and supporting code, including XSLT and MVEL.
- Design and operate observability and reliability practices using metrics, logs, traces, alerts, SLIs, and SLOs.
- Lead incident response and postmortems for integration failures and drive structural improvements.
- Serve as the technical lead for vendors, holding them accountable for solution quality, performance, and operability.
- Translate HR, Finance, and partner business processes into integration designs.
- Maintain data contracts, mappings, runbooks, and architecture documentation and coach engineers and partners.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on production experience building and running Workday integrations, including Studio, EIB, and Web Services; Extend and Prism are preferred.
- Strong experience with at least one middleware platform.
- Solid understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, JSON, and authentication technologies such as OAuth and SAML.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or JavaScript and ability to work in code when needed.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex integrations or data flows from end to end.
- Strong understanding of HR/Talent processes and HRIS workflows, including recruiting, offers, onboarding, compensation, and performance.
- Experience designing production systems for operability, observability, resilience, and scale.
- Strong technical judgment in architecture, design patterns, and systems ownership.
