Responsibilities
- Operate production environments on AWS ECS Fargate and ClickHouse Cloud, including deployments, autoscaling, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
- Own Datadog observability, including dashboards, alerts, and SLOs.
- Maintain and improve self-hosted infrastructure, including Helm charts, Docker Compose configurations, and deployment documentation.
- Build CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automated scaling, and zero-downtime deployments.
- Plan infrastructure changes for future scale, including long-running agent observability and real-time evaluation workloads.
- Help ensure cloud and self-hosted deployments meet enterprise security and compliance requirements.
- Support users debugging self-hosted deployments and contribute to an open-source infrastructure community.
Requirements
- Strong infrastructure or SRE engineering experience operating systems at scale.
- Experience operating production workloads on AWS, including ECS/Fargate, networking, IAM, and S3, or comparable hyperscale cloud vendors.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and/or ECS, Helm charts, and Docker.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Strong monitoring and observability experience, including building effective dashboards and alerts; Datadog experience is a plus.
- Interest in open-source software and willingness to help users debug self-hosted deployments.
- A CS or quantitative degree is preferred.
- Bonus qualifications include ClickHouse Cloud or managed analytical database experience, high-throughput event processing or observability infrastructure experience, open-source infrastructure tooling contributions, or former founder experience.
