Responsibilities

  • Document functional and non-functional requirements based on customer interactions.
  • Create functional design documents, prototypes, and detailed functional specifications.
  • Perform Java programming, consultation, testing, peer review, and debugging for portal applications.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, fix, and optimize Java-based portal applications.
  • Review and test modifications for functional accuracy and resolve defects and performance issues.
  • Support functional testing, user acceptance testing, go-live activities, customer training, and application support.
  • Participate in estimation activities and provide bottom-up estimates for technical requirements and developments.
  • Document testing activities and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project leads, managers, customers, and team members while reporting status and escalating risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or college degree.
  • At least 3–4 years of working experience with the Web Dynpro Java framework.
  • Knowledge of component-based architecture, including components, controllers, views, and windows.
  • Knowledge of context mapping, data binding, and inbound and outbound plugs.
  • Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver Web Portal configuration, design, administration, and portal logs.
  • Knowledge of NWDS (NetWeaver Developer Studio), an Eclipse-based development environment.
  • Knowledge of application deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of message handling, exception management, and backend systems such as SAP.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize tasks.
