Responsibilities
- Analyze technology trends in the payments and fintech industries and adjacent sectors.
- Convert concepts into proof-of-concept and MVP software implementations within deadlines.
- Participate in and improve software lifecycle activities including design, coding, documentation, testing, and support.
- Produce design notes, demo scripts, and handover documentation.
- Collaborate with technical, product, operational, internal, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain the team's internal knowledge base and uphold quality standards.
- Work extended hours or participate in on-call support when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in ICT or related professional qualifications.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile/lean methodologies.
- Proficiency in software development using more than one listed language across frontend, backend, or real-time development.
- Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL relational database management systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, communication, and English writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative, ambiguous, iterative, and exploratory environments.
- Willingness to work extended hours and be on call when required.
- Experience writing software for the financial or payments industry is preferred.
- Experience with modern architecture patterns, streaming technologies, scripting languages, DevOps tools, containerization, or cloud environments is a bonus.
