Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain end-to-end ML deployment pipelines covering experiment tracking, model versioning, containerized serving, and automated retraining.
- Develop model registries, feature-engineering pipelines, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, structured logging, and tracing for data pipelines, APIs, models, and agentic systems.
- Deploy and operationalize analytical and predictive scientific methods with versioning, structured error handling, response-time guarantees, and synchronous or asynchronous serving.
- Define API contracts, documentation standards, and testing frameworks for reliable scientific tools and expose them through REST and MCP-compatible interfaces.
- Build and operate cloud-native model-serving infrastructure using containers, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Develop CI/CD workflows with automated validation, A/B testing, canary deployments, and rollback procedures.
- Collaborate with scientific, software engineering, Tech@Lilly, and Frontier AI teams on API performance, model confidence metrics, and agent-facing interfaces.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in MLOps, ML engineering, or scientific platform development.
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
- Experience building and deploying production model-serving infrastructure, containerized endpoints, RESTful or gRPC APIs, and operational monitoring.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
- Experience with model monitoring, drift detection, automated retraining, feature stores, data versioning, or large-scale experiment tracking.
- Preferred pharmaceutical or biotech research experience and experience operationalizing cheminformatics, bioinformatics, structural biology, QSAR, molecular simulations, PK/PD, systems biology, or ODE-based models.
- Preferred familiarity with API gateway patterns, event-driven architectures, service mesh technologies, MCP, LangChain, or programmatic AI-system interfaces.
- Preferred experience with C, C++, CUDA, GPU-accelerated computing, or containerized HPC workloads using Singularity or Apptainer.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
