Base Salary
$201k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Take ultimate technical ownership of Zocdoc’s interoperability technical strategy.
- Build scalable solutions for Zocdoc’s largest and most complex customers.
- Drive the rearchitecture of the sync framework for real-time integration.
- Design abstractions to simplify EHR-specific complexities for product teams.
- Analyze complex product challenges to inform design decisions.
- Work hands-on with the team, shipping production code using C#, AWS, and React.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers in an agile environment.
- Mentor the interop engineering team through coaching and code reviews.
- Continuously improve engineering processes and technical capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in backend development with a strong understanding of OO fundamentals.
- Proven experience architecting and shipping high-impact, complex solutions.
- Experience building platforms that abstract complexity for engineering teams.
- Demonstrated system design and architectural leadership skills.
- Strong product mindset focusing on customer value beyond technical implementation.
- History of mentoring engineers and promoting best practices.
- Outstanding communication skills for technical discussions with diverse audiences.
- Experience working with a distributed workforce is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS environments and emphasis on testing is a plus.
