Base Salary
$200k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive enterprise sales by nurturing prospects and supporting strategic and enterprise customers.
- Conduct discovery, qualification, technical demos, and proof-of-value workshops for prospective Postman customers.
- Answer technical questions and objections and provide solutions or workarounds.
- Understand customer workflows and guide adoption of API-first development best practices.
- Create proof-of-concept integrations, tooling, and workflows to support prospects.
- Maintain customer sandbox environments and product-use best practices.
- Share customer feedback and advocate for customer needs across internal teams.
- Serve as a technical intermediary between sales and other teams.
- Stay current on the API market, competitive landscape, trends, and customer challenges.
Requirements
- 8+ years of enterprise sales or solutions engineering experience.
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- 4+ years of API and data platform experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Customer-facing experience engaging developers, QA, product teams, engineering leaders, senior management, and executive audiences.
- Strong understanding of APIs, including producing and consuming APIs across different domains.
- Understanding of DevOps, software development life cycles, cloud-service security concerns, and enterprise SaaS sales processes.
- Experience executing enterprise sales strategies and methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, or Command of the Message.
- Familiarity with developer tooling, Git, monitoring services, microservices, containers, and cloud computing services.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Strong communication, listening, relationship-building, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.
