Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Drive technical design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of medium-to-large AI projects.
- Design scalable systems for agentic execution, prompt-driven automation, model orchestration, and enterprise data boundaries.
- Lead multi-contributor projects across services or codebases and manage cross-team dependencies.
- Write technical design documents, evaluate architectural trade-offs, and make durable technical decisions.
- Establish testing norms, run retrospectives, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Product Designers, and Data Scientists on requirements and technical direction.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining production distributed systems, microservices, or complex full-stack architectures.
- Experience with technical leadership across multiple services or codebases and practical experience or deep interest in LLMs, agentic patterns, evaluation pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation, or real-time streaming infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to author comprehensive technical design documents and evaluate trade-offs involving latency, cost, determinism, and maintainability.
- Experience acting as a Tech Lead or Area of Responsibility owner and driving ambiguous, multi-contributor projects through delivery.
- Passion for mentoring and coaching engineers and establishing long-term engineering best practices.
- Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with willingness to learn and apply them to improve productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
- Strong empathy for end-user experience and understanding of how backend architecture and model behavior affect trust, latency, and workflow reliability.
