Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable, high-quality production software.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers and promote secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reusable engineering patterns.
- Lead adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability and application resiliency.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams covering architecture, technical capabilities, and integration applicability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Direct experience with Macro or FICC businesses, trading systems, and front-, middle-, and back-office operations and flows.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, security, and compliant engineering adoption.
- Experience with AWS and cloud-native development, including Aurora, RDS, EC2, Athena, Lambda, CloudWatch, Iceberg, and Kinesis.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry technology systems.
- AWS Certified Practitioner or Architect certification and experience with LLMs, agentic AI, AI automation, or anomaly detection are preferred.
