Base Salary

$194k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build reliable, auditable AI agent systems, including multi-agent workflows and orchestration layers.
  • Experiment with emerging AI models, tools, and development patterns and turn successful approaches into production software.
  • Design explainable modeling and reasoning systems for financial services use cases.
  • Build Python and React/TypeScript internal applications and platforms for authoring, validating, and deploying AI-powered analysis.
  • Own distributed backend infrastructure, including event-driven workers, job pipelines, and multi-stage processing systems.
  • Establish AI output validation and quality assurance patterns, including automated evaluation pipelines, hallucination detection, and compliance guardrails.
  • Drive technical decisions covering schemas, API contracts, system boundaries, and service architecture.
  • Contribute to full-stack application development and document technical decisions and testing practices.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping production software systems using AI development tools, especially AI-powered software.
  • Strong software engineering skills and a demonstrated record of contributing to application architecture best practices.
  • Expertise in Python, including asynchronous services, type-safe code, and scalable systems.
  • Strong distributed systems fundamentals, including event-driven architectures, message queues, job state machines, and worker patterns.
  • Fluency with relational databases and data modeling.
  • Ability to build product-quality React/TypeScript user interfaces when needed.
  • Preferred experience with production AI/ML systems, agent architectures, LLM integration, model evaluation, or AI pipelines.
  • Preferred experience designing multi-agent systems, agentic workflows, AI orchestration layers, big-data pipelines, infrastructure as code, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Preferred background in quantitative finance, financial planning, wealth management technology, regulated industries, compliance, auditability, or explainability.
  • Experience leading technical teams or serving as a force multiplier across engineering is preferred.
