Base Salary
$230k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable backend services and data models for Kalepa’s core product.
- Develop data pipelines and evaluation loops that improve data completeness, decision transparency, and product value.
- Work with asynchronous workflows, serverless technologies, and cloud environments.
- Own projects from conception through completion with minimal oversight.
- Support business-critical infrastructure and collaborate proactively with stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Python or a strong background in another object-oriented language.
- Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
- Comfort working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Strong ownership, communication, experimentation, and project-completion skills.
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or distributed systems is a bonus.
