Responsibilities
- Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking, and services in real-world environments.
- Architect Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark infrastructure on premises or in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Architect and integrate open-source software including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, and NGINX.
- Help partners architect joint solutions using Canonical technologies in public clouds and data centers.
- Design and publish joint reference architectures and perform technical validations with partners.
- Prepare and deliver onboarding sessions and workshops for partner teams to promote Canonical products and solutions.
- Support OEM, GSI, ISV, channel, and public cloud alliance partners from a technical perspective.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Linux, preferably Ubuntu, Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation.
- Experience designing and implementing solutions on public or private clouds.
- Understanding of Python and Bash, with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field, or related technical field experience.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and reliably follow up on commitments.
- Interest in customer-facing engagements, including pitching, demonstrating, and understanding customer environments and needs.
- Interest in technologies including LXD, Juju, and Snaps.
- Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
