Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of middleware messaging and streaming integration solutions.
- Design and deploy messaging infrastructure across multiple geographic locations and data centers with low latency, data locality, and regional failover.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement messaging and streaming technologies based on business and technical requirements.
- Drive event-driven architecture best practices across integration initiatives.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable, resilient, geo-distributed integration designs.
- Design active-active and active-passive multi-datacenter topologies with automated failover and disaster recovery.
- Define and enforce deployment, monitoring, and operations standards for messaging infrastructure across regions through automation.
- Mentor junior engineers on integration patterns, geo-distribution strategies, and best practices.
- Implement and manage solutions across environments using automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Integrate API Management platforms with middleware messaging systems and use observability platforms for monitoring and insights.
Requirements
- 10–12 years of industry experience, including middleware messaging integration roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in event-driven architecture and middleware messaging integration design patterns.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, or similar messaging platforms.
- Experience with streaming-based integrations such as Kafka Streams, Stream Native, and Redpanda or equivalent platforms.
- Experience with AWS SNS/SQS, Azure Service Bus, GCP Pub/Sub, and multi-region cloud deployments.
- Experience deploying containerized messaging platforms with Kubernetes and Docker across multi-cluster, multi-region environments.
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying messaging platforms across multiple data centers and geographic regions.
- Expertise in geo-replication, cross-datacenter mirroring, and regional routing strategies.
- Ability to engineer high-volume, low-latency messaging solutions with high availability, fault tolerance, redundancy, and predictable performance.
- Experience deploying and managing components in clustered environments.
- Experience with automation, infrastructure-as-code practices, API Management integration, and observability platforms such as Elastic.
