Responsibilities

Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long time scale.
Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
Define and advocate for technical solutions and operational processes.
Ensure team operations and availability with proper monitoring and alerting.
Establish code review and design standards, promoting quality and ownership.
Provide feedback and guidance to develop talent within the team.
Participate in an on-call rotation as required.

7+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
Proficiency in languages like Python or Kotlin.
Experience with highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Spark and task orchestration systems like Airflow or Temporal is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to deliver major features and system components.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
