Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java and Spring Boot microservices for authentication, login, dashboard, and foundation-platform functionality.
- Implement authentication and identity integrations using SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and RBAC.
- Build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using ECS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation.
- Design API Gateway configurations and scalable, secure microservices architectures with fault-tolerance patterns such as circuit breakers.
- Manage development and production support tickets and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and related tooling.
- Use Datadog and AI-assisted development tools in the daily engineering workflow.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture, code reviews, mentoring, and engineering-quality improvements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation of approximately one week per month to resolve production issues within defined SLAs.
- Handle data and services in compliance with confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and company policies.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience with strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
- Hands-on experience designing and building microservices architectures, API Gateway patterns, and distributed systems.
- Experience with SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and RBAC authentication and identity technologies.
- Required AWS experience with ECS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with fault-tolerance patterns such as circuit breakers, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.
- Strong architectural and system-design judgment with a record of engineering excellence and reliability.
- Experience with Datadog is preferred, and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is expected.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology is required.
- A master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
