Responsibilities
- Ensure service excellence and maintain robust, scalable technical foundations for backend and access-platform systems.
- Lead complex product and technical roadmaps, engineering projects, technical initiatives, and cross-organizational architecture.
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain reliable distributed systems and internet-scale access-platform solutions.
- Improve engineering processes, systems, tools, monitoring, alerting, and technical strategy while identifying and resolving technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
- Provide technical mentoring through pairing, code reviews, documentation, workshops, presentations, and peer guidance.
- Coordinate with product managers, designers, engineers, stakeholders, and other teams to deliver features and prioritize technical improvements.
- Participate in production support and act as a first line of defense against outages and bugs.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
- At least 5 years of programming experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, or C++.
- At least 3 years of experience leading engineering projects and initiatives involving distributed systems, reliable services, technical prioritization, or technical vision.
- Professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of experience developing and supporting scalable, distributed backend services.
- Preferred: experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or GCP.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Preferred: professional Polish proficiency in verbal and written communication.
