Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance legacy COBOL applications on the iSeries platform.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues.
- Collaborate with senior developers on system requirements and design specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and help improve coding standards.
- Document application changes and provide support for system testing.
- Work with the IT team to support application integration and performance.
- Learn and apply COBOL programming and iSeries platform best practices.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and logic.
- Ability to write SQL queries.
- Basic understanding of Java.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Prior programming experience is a plus but not required.
