Responsibilities
- Ship production code and customer-facing features shortly after joining.
- Own features end to end, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring metrics, and fixing issues.
- Use AI for coding, debugging, testing, research, and workflow automation, while improving how the team applies AI.
- Collaborate directly with Product, Design, and senior engineers.
- Develop expertise in B2B fintech across multiple countries and regulatory environments.
- Work on backend services, APIs, and interfaces in the Product Engineering track or pipelines, models, risk scoring, fraud signals, and spend intelligence in the Data & ML Engineering track.
Requirements
- Be at the start of a software career and have no prior full-time software experience.
- Have a technical foundation in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar area, or demonstrate equivalent ability through code.
- Showcase something built, such as a GitHub project, deployed application, used repository, hackathon project, open-source contribution, or automation tool.
- Demonstrate hands-on AI building experience with examples such as agents, RAG, evaluations, fine-tunes, or automation tools.
- Understand data structures, algorithms, and systems thinking; competitive programming, a strong thesis, or serious research are also considered.
- Be proficient in English for daily technical reading, writing, and discussion.
- Demonstrate ownership, initiative, and the ability to complete work independently.
- Basic Portuguese proficiency or willingness to learn Portuguese is preferred.
