Base Salary
$174k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as a hands-on engineering leader with expertise in open-source technologies and distributed systems
- Design layered applications and drive architecture and design quality for pricing and commerce systems
- Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to develop solutions for complex business challenges
- Lead engineers on mission-critical projects
- Define roadmaps and technical vision for the scalable and robust growth of the pricing platform
- Collaborate with engineering teams across geographic locations to build extensible services
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience in software design and development
- Strong experience with distributed systems and large-scale enterprise platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent analytical, deep-dive, verbal, and written English communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
- Preferred proficiency in Java or similar JVM-based languages and Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks
- Preferred hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, event-driven architectures, Kafka, Flink, and real-time data pipelines
- Preferred familiarity with infrastructure as code and DevOps best practices
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or high-traffic consumer-facing platforms is preferred
