Responsibilities
- Own and lead design for major backend systems across Ads.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Python & Django.
- Architect and optimize large scale data workflows for Ads.
- Profile the stack to identify bottlenecks.
- Guide the engineering team in leveraging AI and Machine Learning.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to address cross-team concerns.
- Tackle escalated production issues by providing quick remediations.
- Raise the engineering bar through elite code review and guidance.
- Work with EMs and PMs to shape technical roadmap.
Requirements
- 10+ years in backend engineering with a proven track record in Ad-Tech, Fintech, or High-Scale SaaS.
- Deep expertise in building high concurrency, asynchronous services.
- Strong experience with distributed systems like Flink, Spark, Hive, or SingleStore.
- Advanced SQL skills for optimizing complex analytical queries.
- Experience managing 'Sync vs Async' data flows.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts.
- Proven leadership experience, including mentoring engineers.
