Responsibilities
- Perform adversarial security analysis of SoC and chiplet micro-architectures across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Review architecture, micro-architecture, system specifications, security assumptions, RTL implementations, and firmware components.
- Develop threat scenarios, conduct adversarial testing, and improve security models through design reviews and focused hackathons.
- Apply automation, scripting, and AI-assisted techniques to vulnerability discovery, specification analysis, test generation, triage, and attack-surface exploration.
- Develop proofs of concept, exploits, and security demonstrations to demonstrate vulnerability impact.
- Investigate multi-stage and cross-component attack chains and recommend mitigations.
- Improve offensive security methodologies, tools, and best practices across the SoC Offensive Security team.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of SoC architecture, IP integration, standalone IP and subsystem threat modeling, and micro-architectural attack-surface enumeration.
- Demonstrated adversarial assessment experience, including proofs of concept, exploits, CTFs, or published work.
- Practical experience with SystemVerilog RTL, UVM-based validation environments, and hardware development IDEs.
- Ability to adapt verification environments for negative and offensive testing.
- Hands-on experience setting up development and testing platforms, conducting security evaluations, and validating findings in practical environments.
- Firmware security analysis experience with UEFI, U-Boot, MCUboot, Trusted Firmware, or similar technologies.
- Experience with security specifications and standards such as Caliptra and DICE or related attestation and hardware-root-of-trust standards.
- Preferred experience with PCIe, CXL, SMBus, SPI, I2C, UART, AMBA protocols, formal hardware-security proofs, TEEs, confidential VMs, hardware fuzzing, software exploitation, and reverse engineering.
- Ability to conduct complex technical investigations independently and communicate risks and recommendations clearly.
