Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and solutions for enterprise payment and software platforms.
- Create, execute, and optimize automated API test suites using Postman, Bruno, ReadyAPI, Groovy scripting, Citrus, or similar tools.
- Develop reusable Java automation code and convert manual test cases, business requirements, and API collections into automated regression and integration suites.
- Create and execute performance tests, maintain test data and environments, and support functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and quality assurance partners to identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
- Analyze application logs and test failures using monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog and perform root cause analysis.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related tools.
- Participate in code reviews, pull request reviews, automation design discussions, and initiatives to improve testing strategies and defect prevention.
- Use AI-powered engineering tools, generative AI, large language models, and prompt engineering for test case generation, test data creation, defect analysis, script development, and coverage optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Seven to nine years of relevant experience with programming concepts, development logic, or automating complex API processes.
- Proficiency with APIs and API testing, including tools such as Postman or Bruno.
- Hands-on experience with Citrus or other test automation frameworks.
- Strong Java programming skills and the ability to convert manual tests or Postman collections into automated scripts.
- Experience analyzing and debugging logs with Datadog.
- Experience collaborating with development teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve bugs.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, ReadyAPI, and Groovy scripting.
- Understanding of Git, Jira, IDEs, pull requests, and software development processes.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI-powered development and testing tools.
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted software development and testing practices.
