Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Oracle Health Insurance modules supporting enrollment, benefits, claims, and payments.
- Build scalable microservices and APIs for healthcare payer workflows.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, debug, and troubleshoot software components and applications.
- Develop healthcare-standard and EDI integrations, including transactions such as 837, 834, and 835.
- Contribute to AI, automation, LLM, and agent-based software initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership to other software developers and make modest changes to existing software architecture.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering, product management, architecture, QA, and customer implementation teams.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3–7 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python.
- Experience with REST APIs, distributed systems, SQL, databases, and cloud technologies such as OCI, AWS, or Azure.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented design.
- Experience in Agile development environments, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools and modern developer productivity technologies.
- Preferred: healthcare payer knowledge and experience with claims processing, enrollment, benefits administration, provider payments, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance workflows, EDI transactions, GenAI, prompt engineering, or AI agents.
