Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate scalable, durable, and high-performance object storage systems.
- Support the creation and operation of distributed systems at cloud scale.
- Program in Go and other modern languages.
- Maintain the availability and performance of storage products.
- Collaborate with peers and contribute to free and open-source software communities.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy storage software.
Requirements
- Knowledge of object storage or other distributed storage systems and how to scale them.
- Familiarity with MinIO, Ceph, AWS S3, Scality, or similar object storage systems.
- Understanding of concurrency and parallelism models in a modern programming language.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a self-motivated engineering team.
- Experience with gRPC, distributed data stores such as Ceph, or storage hardware is a bonus.
