Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, optimize, tune, version, and evaluate AI/ML models including NLP, LLMs, deep learning, generative AI, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.
- Build scalable data pipelines supporting model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop production-grade APIs, microservices, automation frameworks, distributed systems, and cloud-native or edge-deployed AI services.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into operational environments with attention to security, reliability, observability, and performance.
- Conduct A/B testing and model evaluation to support robust mission impact.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, mission subject-matter experts, and product teams to identify needs and define technical approaches.
- Prepare technical documentation, participate in design reviews, and support customer-driven requirements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing ML models such as NLP, LLM, computer vision, deep learning, generative AI, or reinforcement learning.
- Experience developing AI/ML capabilities in a microservice stack and maintaining production-grade APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Experience designing, configuring, or deploying software systems in operational environments.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred experience includes GPU programming with CUDA or RAPIDS; NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn; AWS and classified-environment model containerization; LLM orchestration, RAG, grounding, or hallucination mitigation; MLOps, distributed training, and hybrid cloud; automated testing and model evaluation; GitLab; Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in computer science, AI engineering, ML engineering, data science, or a STEM field, plus AI/ML, cloud, or solution architecture certifications.
