Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, tune, version, and evaluate AI/ML models for NLP, LLMs, generative AI, deep learning, computer vision, and mission requirements.
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines supporting model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop production-grade APIs, distributed systems, automation frameworks, and cloud-native or edge-deployed AI services.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into operational environments with attention to security, reliability, observability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineers, mission SMEs, and product teams to gather requirements and define technical approaches.
- Prepare technical documentation, contribute to design reviews, and support customer-driven requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing ML models such as NLP, LLM, computer vision, deep learning, generative AI, or reinforcement learning.
- At least 5 years of experience developing AI/ML capabilities in a microservice stack.
- Experience with production-grade APIs, microservices, distributed systems, operational software deployment, and data processing or scientific computing libraries.
- Experience with NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, GitLab, and containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- Preferred experience includes GPU programming with CUDA or RAPIDS, AWS, classified-environment model containerization, LLM orchestration, RAG, grounding, hallucination mitigation, MLOps, distributed training, AWS, Azure, GCP, automated testing, and model evaluation frameworks.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in computer science, AI Engineering, ML Engineering, Data Science, or a STEM field, and AI/ML, Cloud, or Solution Architecture certifications.
