Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, test, and optimize high-performance modular software aligned with open standards.
- Provide technical leadership and direction for software integration design and development.
- Lead, mentor, and grow software and systems engineers through code reviews, best practices, and collaborative development.
- Serve as the primary technical customer contact by gathering requirements, managing expectations, providing guidance, and delivering demonstrations.
- Support proposals, Statements of Work, technical documentation, and identification of expansion opportunities.
- Facilitate software lifecycle activities including sprint planning, reviews, integration events, testing, verification, and validation.
- Maintain expertise in Tangram Flex products and support their integration in customer environments.
- Analyze system performance, resource allocation, memory management, stability, scalability, and hardware/software integration issues.
- Participate in customer alignment meetings and travel to client sites, customer locations, and industry conferences as needed.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering development experience, including hands-on technical leadership on R&D or product development projects.
- Expert-level C/C++ development skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience; an MS or PhD is preferred.
- Experience with end-to-end software product development using secure software engineering practices.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- Ability to execute complex technical tasks independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial small-team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation, proposal development, and external presentations.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of work time.
- Existing technical relationships with Department of War/defense laboratories such as AFRL, ONR, or DEVCOM/CERDEC are preferred.
- Experience leading R&D proposals is preferred.
