Base Salary
$75k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and operate infrastructure supporting SaaS and on-premise engineering needs.
- Optimize AWS and other cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency, security, and performance.
- Build internal platform tooling, CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions, and developer self-service capabilities.
- Improve observability and incident response systems, including monitoring, alerting, and SLOs.
- Collaborate with product teams to continuously improve internal platforms.
- Help enforce security and compliance standards, including SOC 2 controls.
- Contribute to documentation, onboarding materials, and internal support processes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
- At least 2 years of experience at a B2B software startup.
- Strong experience with AWS services, especially EKS/Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling, ideally GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, Loki, or similar observability tools.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or shell scripting.
- Experience with change data capture and event streaming systems, or with scaling large, multi-tenant observability systems for ingest, analysis, and alerting.
- Experience in a SOC 2-compliant or security-focused environment is preferred.
- Experience with MQTT, AMQP, and other messaging technologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with the NetBox ecosystem or network automation tooling is preferred.
- Open-source experience or contributions are preferred.
- Experience with AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Cursor is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
