Responsibilities
- Build and scale the Claude API to deliver AI capabilities to developers.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, researchers, and product managers to translate product vision into backend systems.
- Own the performance, reliability, and efficiency of core serving paths.
- Develop features that enhance the Claude API, including vision and tool use.
- Transform the Claude API into a cloud-native product with enterprise-grade capabilities.
- Ensure Claude can access and process relevant knowledge securely.
- Create tools that improve developer experience and accelerate deployment.
- Build infrastructure for agentic applications within the Claude API.
- Develop foundational systems for enterprise deployment of Claude.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a backend or product engineer.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar backend languages.
- Experience with modern cloud infrastructure.
- Strong product sense and user experience focus.
- Ability to take ownership of work from design to deployment.
- Effective communication skills across functions.
- Commitment to code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
