Base Salary
$158k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security solutions and architecture across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Lead security incident investigations, threat hunting, containment, eradication, recovery, and incident response planning.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security reviews, risk assessments, security testing, and remediation coordination.
- Oversee security monitoring, detection capabilities, alerts, dashboards, workflows, and log analysis.
- Maintain compliance with security frameworks, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements while developing security documentation and procedures.
- Partner with infrastructure, engineering, product, data, IT, and business teams to integrate security requirements into technology initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff and support security awareness and training initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and managing enterprise security technologies and leading complex security initiatives and incident response efforts.
- Strong knowledge of network, cloud, endpoint, identity and access management, and security architecture principles.
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, intrusion detection and prevention, and security monitoring platforms.
- Experience securing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Knowledge of NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, or similar security frameworks.
- Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting and automation tools.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring or coaching technical staff, along with strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, GIAC, GSEC, GCIH, CCSP, Security+, or equivalent.
- Preferred experience includes media or publishing environments, high-traffic consumer-facing platforms, and AI-enabled security tools or automation.
