Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot incoming support tickets across multiple product lines.
- Develop and maintain operational and maintenance tooling, primarily using Perl or shell scripts, with potential Java-based projects.
- Support software deployments in staging and production environments.
- Provide system and support status reporting.
- Maintain operational ownership of one or more Prime services or components.
- Coordinate customer notifications, workflows, and follow-up to maintain service level agreements.
- Hand off and take over active support issues while building team-specific knowledge and skills.
- Drive operational efficiency across engineering and other technical teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of overall development or technical support experience, with less experience accepted with a technology master’s degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Perl or an equivalent programming or scripting language and knowledge of Java-based technologies.
- Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, workflow modeling, web application development, and industry-standard commerce systems.
- Ability to write intermediate or advanced database queries.
- Experience with networking, systems administration, highly scalable and available service-oriented architectures, monitoring, and metrics.
- Preferred experience includes root-cause troubleshooting, operational excellence, 24/7 production environments, Unix system administration, and data analytics or business intelligence.
- Ability to communicate effectively, remain composed under stress, and collaborate with a wide range of individuals.
