Base Salary
$139k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality iOS application code for roadmap projects.
- Align closely with product managers and designers to move projects forward.
- Collaborate with backend, firmware, data science, research, science, and QA teams to deliver complex mobile app features.
- Work with iOS engineers across the US and EU to improve the health of the shared iOS codebase.
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and platform-level improvements.
- Own technical solutions, drive implementation, and deliver projects with limited guidance.
- Mentor other engineers and improve developer productivity across teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional development experience shipping iOS apps.
- Proficiency in Swift, UIKit, modern iOS architectures such as MVVM, MVC, TCA, and VIPER, and common third-party libraries and frameworks.
- Experience collaborating on complex shared codebases with Git, branching, and standard code review workflows.
- Experience with unit tests and manual testing.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and design patterns knowledge.
- Ability to take ownership of projects, design technical solutions, drive implementation, and deliver results with limited guidance.
- Ability to mentor engineers and improve developer productivity.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum processes.
- Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of professional development experience, consumer iOS app or enterprise app and SDK experience, technical leadership, Swift structured concurrency, Combine, SQLite/GRDB, SwiftUI, CoreAnimation, CoreGraphics, PyTorch, TypeScript, Kotlin Multiplatform, BLE, SDK development, functional programming, systems architecture, performance optimization, asynchronous international collaboration, firmware-related hardware projects, app release management, CI/CD, health or wearable software, ML algorithms, encryption, data privacy, or C++.
