Site Reliability Engineer III
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement deployment and reliability approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for assigned applications and platforms.
- Improve observability through monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection.
- Use SLIs and SLOs to identify and resolve complex problems proactively.
- Participate in incident response, triage, on-call operations, and post-incident analysis.
- Automate recurring remediation to reduce toil and improve operational stability.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis.
- Document findings, share knowledge, and support adoption of SRE best practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Foundational understanding of SRE culture, principles, SLIs, and SLOs.
- Working experience with industry-standard observability and monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with incident and response management, on-call participation, and structured post-incident reviews.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Experience automating repetitive tasks and managing configurations with tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to validate AI-assisted operational recommendations and follow data-sensitivity requirements.
- Preferred: experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes ingress and networking, Terraform modules, service mesh, load balancing, DNS troubleshooting, and controls-focused operations in regulated environments.
- Preferred: strong communication skills and willingness to evaluate emerging SRE and cloud-native technologies.
