Responsibilities
- Define technical requirements, architectural standards, best practices, and roadmaps for software emulation and shift-left development.
- Lead cross-functional development of early-stage embedded software solutions and serve as a technical authority on virtual platforms.
- Design and implement virtual platform configurations using Synopsys Virtual Platform, QEMU, or SIMICS.
- Develop hardware/software co-emulation frameworks using ZEBU, HAPS, and related hardware accelerators.
- Build automation pipelines for continuous integration and testing on emulation infrastructure.
- Debug system-level issues across hardware emulation and software simulation environments.
- Enable customer early-access programs, integrate emulation solutions into customer workflows, and support proof-of-concept demonstrations.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, coordinate timelines and resources, and provide team leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience and 3+ years in a technical leadership or team lead capacity.
- Proven experience in embedded systems or the semiconductor industry.
- Deep hands-on experience with Synopsys Virtual Platform, QEMU, and SIMICS.
- Working knowledge of Synopsys ZEBU, HAPS, or equivalent hardware emulation platforms.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and shell scripting; Verilog/VHDL exposure is preferred.
- Experience with ARM, RISC-V, or similar processor architectures; Linux kernel, RTOS environments, bootloaders, and device drivers.
- Knowledge of shift-left development, CI/CD pipelines, and agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Strong technical communication, consensus-building, problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
