Base Salary
$165k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable, real-time software that determines which user, laser, and gateway beams should be formed for Starlink’s satellite network.
- Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Develop prototypes and manage experiments to validate key design concepts.
- Build software development, deployment, data analysis, visualization, and test execution tools.
- Test across virtualized hardware environments, real hardware-in-the-loop simulations, and on-orbit systems.
- Own the complete software lifecycle, including development, testing, and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional software development experience, or 7+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Development experience in Assembly, C, or C++.
- Knowledge of real-time rendering, game engine development, physics simulation, or other real-time, resource-constrained, high-performance computing is preferred.
- Knowledge of network topology, numerical optimization, graph theoretic approaches, or convex optimization is preferred.
- Experience developing, debugging, and deploying software used in real-world applications or projects is preferred.
- Experience with distributed systems and internet services is preferred.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Applicants must meet applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $165,000-$230,000 annually, plus potential stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and employee stock purchase opportunities.
