Senior Software Test and Automation Engineer

Responsibilities
- Own test strategy and automation for mobile/web applications, cloud platforms, and data systems.
- Design scalable automation frameworks and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Define test coverage, maintain requirements traceability, and lead end-to-end, integration, and system validation.
- Perform defect triage, root-cause analysis, test documentation, architecture reviews, risk assessments, and quality practices.
- Develop National Instruments-based test systems, validation plans, acceptance criteria, and qualification activities.
- Design electronics test infrastructure and product interface fixtures while partnering with R&D and NPI teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and improve team testing and automation practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field plus 4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience, or a PhD.
- Hands-on software testing and test automation experience, including ownership of testing for features or subsystems.
- Strong understanding of test methodologies and software development lifecycles in regulated environments.
- Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, and backend/cloud systems.
- Preferred experience with UI, API, and data-layer automation frameworks; microservices, APIs, and data pipelines; and end-to-end system integration.
- Preferred experience with Databricks, Python, Scala, Azure DevOps, Appium, connected devices, IoT, Bluetooth/BLE, and hardware/software integration.
- Preferred familiarity with medical devices, SaMD, FDA 21 CFR 820, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, EMR/EHR, HL7, FHIR, and certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or ASQ.
