Base Salary
$131k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable frontend and backend software solutions.
- Lead implementation of complex features and services within distributed, cloud-based architectures.
- Translate product and business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design partners throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive code quality, testing, observability, security, maintainability, and other engineering best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
- Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Improve development processes, tooling, team practices, and engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience, with 8+ years of professional software engineering experience requested in the critical skills.
- 5+ years of experience with modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript or similar frameworks.
- 5+ years of experience developing backend services using C# and .NET.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and production-grade applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, and with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and automated testing strategies and frameworks.
- Strong software design, debugging, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical-influence skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Kafka or Redis experience, highly available SaaS development, CI/CD and DevOps practices, GitHub and GitHub Actions, AI-assisted development tools, requirements and acceptance-criteria definition, architecture reviews, and Agile product development.
