Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance equities trading and post-trade functionality across the full software development lifecycle.
- Partner with Equities Sales and Trading desks to gather requirements, prioritize work, and resolve day-to-day questions.
- Evaluate complex business and system processes, design applications within the architecture blueprint, and improve existing process performance.
- Address compute and estate management, technical hygiene, security, and vulnerability remediation.
- Design and implement automated integration testing.
- Provide second-line, including out-of-hours, production support for developed processes and components.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Adopt AI toolkits and modern development practices in line with the firm’s modernization strategy.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in core Java application development or systems analysis.
- Strong core Java expertise, including collections, I/O, multithreading, and generics.
- Required experience developing front-office trading applications or systems.
- Experience or familiarity with an equities trading platform.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, containerization, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Lightspeed, BitBucket or GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Gradle, and Maven.
- Comfort working in a Linux environment.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Interest in and exposure to AI tools and technologies.
Benefits
- Full-time position.
- Primary location salary range is $120,800.00–$170,800.00.
