Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance strategic applications and services supporting XVA, Cross Asset Margin, and regulatory risk calculations.
- Provide advanced Java application programming expertise and ensure application designs follow the overall architecture blueprint.
- Establish coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and design standards to improve development efficiency and product rollout.
- Plan and execute smooth production releases.
- Analyze existing operations to identify risks and redundancies and develop solutions through comprehensive assessments.
- Collaborate with team members and management to complete projects in accordance with application development and governance standards.
- Evaluate complex business and system processes to resolve high-impact problems.
- Assess business risks, support regulatory compliance, and escalate and report control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Java with hands-on coding experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Java, Spring, Kafka, and distributed cache or distributed systems such as Apache Ignite.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle; MongoDB experience is preferred.
- Python experience is preferred.
- Experience with microservices architecture and API-first design and implementation using WebSocket and gRPC.
- Experience building applications on cloud platforms or using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Demonstrated experience implementing design patterns and knowledge of software development methodologies and techniques.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- UI technology stack knowledge is advantageous.
- Business knowledge of margin, CVA, XVA, regulatory stress testing, Greeks, and VaR/SIMM risk models is preferred, along with the ability to work with quantitative teams.
- Completed bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent field; a master’s degree is preferred.
