$113k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, high-performance features and core services for Navan’s global flight platform.
- Solve large-scale engineering challenges involving reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Own features end to end from design and development through deployment and operational support.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business leaders across global teams.
- Promote code quality, scalability, documentation, monitoring, testing, and continuous technical improvement.
- Stay current with technologies and industry trends while delivering maintainable solutions to complex problems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building and scaling complex systems, with exceptional candidates with less experience considered.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining consumer-facing or core business products at scale.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with a strong understanding of JVM performance and optimization.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, API design, and AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated ownership of production-quality code and post-release monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Travel-industry domain knowledge in flights, bookings, or inventory management is a strong plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional partners and uphold engineering best practices in testing, documentation, scalability, and code quality.
