Base Salary
$141k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build the engineering foundations of long-term high-definition mapping infrastructure.
- Develop scalable pipelines to create, validate, maintain, and visualize HD map data.
- Design and develop metrics and monitoring across map systems.
- Partner with map customers to capture requirements and implement map features and intuitive APIs.
- Engineer real-time, scalable, highly available map serving for self-driving vehicle fleets.
Requirements
- BS or higher degree in electrical engineering or computer science, or equivalent minimum five years of industry experience.
- Experience with 3D geometry.
- Strong coding proficiency in Python and experience with either C++ or Rust.
- Solid experience developing production-quality software rather than only prototypes or proofs of concept.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Collaborative mindset, willingness to help others, passion for self-driving technologies, and interest in solving difficult problems.
- Nice to have experience with geospatial systems and tools such as QGIS and GDAL.
- Nice to have experience with machine learning, large-scale data processing systems such as Apache Spark and Airflow, automated testing, and Agile/Scrum environments.
